The Sickness... a confession

I have it, and I have it bad. I have "the sickness." I am guilty, certified, and true. I LOVE TO BUY KIDS CLOTHES! Granted, I don't have any money to spend, and I don't like buying on credit. However, I look and I look often. And, when I get the chance to make money, I turn around and spend it on fabulous clothing for my little babies. Now, I'm not so sick that I buy everything for it's stated original price. I do in fact buy most everything on sale or clearance... but only because I have to watch my pennies. However, I'm telling you right now... if money were no object, my children would be dressed to the nines 24/7 and I wouldn't care if things got ruined because I'd just buy more. Yep, I know that sounds terrible and it probably is terrible... however, my babies deserve to be dressed in the best, finest, and most adorable clothing. SO, there you have it, my confession. I'm a wanna be children's clothes hog! I could look at websites all day long and dream about putting my kids in those beautiful clothes. I could spend HOURS at Buttons and Bow, picking out clothing, socks, shoes and bows.

I would say, I'm fortunate that I know my limits and I don't often go beyond my limits when it comes to buying clothes. I guess we could say my HUSBAND is fortunate for that reason. I don't buy stuff and hide it from him. And my mom and I can find $50.00 dresses for under $5.00 at times. He knows that I know the value of a dollar and that I do not shop with reckless abandon. However, he also knows that if given the chance and the money, I would certainly go on a shopping spree to end all shopping sprees and we'd have to buy a house with custom closets to fit all the children's clothes in side, by color and season, of course! There are far too many beautiful children's clothes out there, and I'd like a sampling of them all, PLEASE!

And mini confession... I ADORE baby girl bathing suits and hair bows! I could spend a small fortune in these two categories alone! I need to learn how to make the bows, as Maegan has hair to her tooshy and a big bow in her hair is just the ticket! I could save a lot by making my own bows, and I could probably have a nice little side business making them for friends.

One more thing I love... custom burp clothes! I have a sewing machine, and I'm going to go buy some prefold diapers and some gorgeous ribbon, and I'm going to start making them for all of my friends having babies. One thing it will help me to learn to sew in a straight line (I have problems with this), and it will get my machine working again. Oh it works, I just haven't used it in a while.

So, there you have it... my confessions of the day. NOW, off to dress my babies!
