So, at Mia's appointment with her doctor on Friday, the doctor said, "Oh well, I see one tooth, but it doesn't appear that any others will be popping through anytime soon." This was as she was looking in Mia's mouth. I guess by that she meant, in the next 48 hours there would be no tooth, because here... 72 hous later... Mia has a second bottom tooth poking through her gums! I guess this would explain the poor sleeping the past two nights. Now, let me say... back when Wils was nearly 4 months old, I said to Mr. Perfect, "Look in his mouth, doesn't it look like he's getting two teeth?" Mr. Perfect agreed. Then he took Wils to his 4 month check up, because I had to be at Maegan's school for something at the same time (probably pick up time)... and when he got home from the doctor, he said that she looked at Wils' gums and said that those were not actually teeth popping through, but rather some kind of something that I'd never heard of. 24 hours later, he had 2 little teeth poking through. (This was a different doc.) So, I'm beginning to think Doctors are not the ones to ask about emerging teeth!
For a teething baby, Mia sure is a good and happy girl. She seems to only suffer minimal discomfort. She hates Orajel. I've not been dosing her up on Tylenol. She just seems to happily babble away, and grin at every chance. She's very much in an exploratory phase. New textures are so incredible to her. She's just something else! She turned 6 months, started solids and landed 2 new teeth, all in one week. She's starting off the 2nd half of her first year of life with GUSTO!
As for Wils... he's laying in Maegan's big bed taking his nap! :) He loves the big bed. It's time to start picking out their new furniture! Maegan's furniture is going out the same time Wils' baby furniture is going. The only thing we are keeping is the dresser that Adam and his father made for Maegan when she was born. That dresser is so awesome. It is a knock off of a PBK style dresser, but it's made with much more quality, and it cost me over $400 LESS!
So, I'm thinking of getting both Maegan and Wils pyramid bunks. I guess I'll get Maegs a white one, and Wils a darker wood color... not sure yet. I like these beds because they allow for many over night guests! Mr. Perfect's family lives out of state and always stay with us when they come to visit. This will make it easier for everyone to have a bed to sleep in, rather than having to blow up the air mattress and take up floor space for a week or more.
OK, see I took a LONG break in the middle of writing this, and now my train of thought has gone off track. SOOOOOOOOO, I'm gonna call it quits for now!
Except I have to say, Mia is talking like crazy! It's the funniest thing. She's all excited and flailing her hands.
And we just had a wicked hail storm! Maegan said, OH MY GRACIOUS ICE IS COMING OUT OF THE SKY!!! lol
