When Matt's not around, my nights are boring. I guess doing nothing with Mr. Perfect is better than doing nothing alone! I'm so exhausted. I don't sleep well when he's away. Every noise is louder. I just lay here in the bed and think until my brain gives up and I pass out... but that doesn't last long because the teeny little miss wakes up to eat! And today, the two "big" (haha) kids woke up before 7am!!! OK that's just NOT allowed until they are in school! *sigh* The Princess woke up, came down stairs and immediately started with a bloody nose... I HAD to get up. Then the littlest Princess and my Little Man were raring to go.
After breakfast and getting Mia down for a nap. I took the older two and we went outside to play in the sunshine. WOW... I didn't realize that I'd get so much sun sitting out there. Maegs rode her bike. Wils and I did chalk drawings on the driveway. We are supposed to get rain the rest of the week, so I wanted to take advantage of the sun. We were not out there more than 2 hours... but some how, my feet turned black (other than where the straps of my flippies are)... and my face is what I like to call... Lobster Red! Ouch! It wasn't HOT out there, so it was easy to just hang out and soak in the sun. We were all having so much fun. Maegan is quite entertaining on that bike of hers. Oh my, the girl can make me laugh.
We went in around noon and I made lunch. The kids ate, and by 1pm Wils was down for his nap. I brought Maegan in my room for some down time (movie time), and I laid down. Not even 10 minutes later, Mia was up and ready to be fed. So, we just chilled and played with her toys until she was exhausted again. I put her down, spent some quiet time with Maegan. And then Wils was up. I got him changed and we went back outside to play. He was just running back and forth, up and down the driveway. Very entertaining! Maegan was, again, riding her bike. Today she mastered the "Jack Rabbit!" She absolutely loves standing up and peddling. Then she crashed... big time. I kept telling her NOT to use the Basket Ball Goal Post for braking, or something was going to get broken! Well, she didn't listen and kept doing it, and she finally missed her mark and ended up hitting the post with her handle bars instead of her bike wheel. It knocked her straight off the bike. Keep in mind, this child has a ballet recital this week... She busted up her elbow. She has bruises all over her arms and legs. She's going to look black and blue up on that stage! Never the less, she learned a lesson.
So after Mia woke up, the 4 of us went to Taco Bell for dinner. Did you know, TB does NOT have milk!?! My kids were not impressed. So, I decided I'd hit McD's for milk... they were "sold out." SO, Wendy's was next door... BINGO! We scored milk and then came home and sat at the table together eating dinner. I love hot sauce from TB. So I poured 3 packets of hot sauce onto my plate. Well, Wils said, "HOT MOMMY HOT!" and then promptly dips his taco in my hot sauce. I just looked at him as he LICKED it off. Then he turns to me and says "HOT MOMMY HOT!" and goes in for more! He did this until I finally took the plate away. The kid is crazy! He's the same kid that drank salsa! He loves spicy mexican food. He's mine, that's for sure!
After dinner, Maegan and Wils had a bath while Mia and I kept them dry and entertained. Or were they entertaining us? Wils says, "Mommy, Hair, Mommy!" So, I washed his hair. Then I had to run and get towels from the folded laundry, and when I came back Wils was turning on the shower... I went to turn it off and turned it the wrong way and sprayed Maegan straight in the face. Scared the absolute crap out of her! I about wet myself laughing and apologizing.
Mia was tired of waiting around. She was ready for DINNER and she was ready right then! So, I told Maegan and Wils they could watch a Baby Einstein movie until I was finished nursing Mia. When she was finished the kids did NOT want the movie off, so I said, OK but you're going to give up your reading time if we watch the rest... they were both cool with it. (My guess is because we read books throughout the day all day, so I guess they felt the movie was more of a treat than reading with mommy.) After the movie, we headed upstairs and brushed teeth. I put everyone in their beds, gave kisses and hugs, let them call Daddy, and then I turned out the lights and Mia and I came down stairs.
Daddy called while Mia and I were cuddling and chatting. He'd missed the call from the kids. He's in Cheers eating dinner. I did ask if anyone yelled out "MATT" when he walked in. He said Nope. (bummer) As I finished up with him and Mia let me know she'd had enough and was ready for some sleepy time. I fed her, and gave her those little things she needs for sleeping... blankie and pacifier (neither of my older 2 used either item for an extended period of time, so Mia using them at 5 months is just so foreign to me!) and I put her down for bed.
Now, I'm alone in a very quiet house and just missing my Chewie. I know, only one more night without him. I can make it. Yes I can!
SO, I forgot the FUNNIEST part of the evening... Wils and Maegan wanted to hug Mia before they went to bed. I let Wils hug her first. I put her down in his crib and he pointed to his pillow, so I laid her down on his pillow and he put his arm around her and laid down beside her... awwwwwwwwww So sweet! So, then after wrestling her out from under Wils arm, I took her to Maegan. I sat down on the bed, Maegan sat up, I leaned Mia forward, Maegan started to lean in... Mia puked right in her crotch. O M G I nearly died laughing. Maegan was screaming. Mia just looked at us like we were nuts. SO, I ran downstairs and got Maegan some clean panties, and got her changed. She hugged Mia. And then it was lights out! LOL
