It's funny now, but it wasn't funny when it happened...
I FELL this morning... hard, on my living room floor. It is pretty comical how it happened, but the injury is NOT fun at ALL! OUCH!!! Basically, I was sitting in the video rocker checking email and the Little Man was running all around the room being crazy. Then I saw him headed for the stairs. Well, little did I know, my left foot had fallen asleep. Well, I hoist myself up out of the chair and I tried to RUN after Little Man... Well, I failed to mention, I had on platform flip flops at the time. SO, I guess you can imagine what happened... Here, imagine in slow motion, an 8 month pregnant woman attempting to run across a living room floor, then imagine she realizes her left foot is asleep and she can't feel it, but knows it is rolling up under her... She rights herself but continues to TRY to run... and the foot gives way completely... down down down she goes... somehow she lands on her right elbow, which skids across the hardwood floor... That's basically how it happened. I burnt the skin off of my right elbow... and I completely killed my left foot. My father (an old Football/Basketball coach) looked at it and wrapped it tonight. He said it looks like a bad sprain, but if it doesn't start feeling better in a day or two that I need to go in and have it xrayed. I've been icing it and keeping it elevated. Hopefully, it will go away quickly. This is just one more thing I DO NOT need in this pregnancy! Oh well, at least it is a funny story for me to look back on... I just feel like the biggest DORK! hahaha

Oh no! I hope you heal fast!!
And, I'm glad you can laugh about it now! I think any story involving pregnant ladies doing, well, almost anything have funny potential. I was at the park with Ella yesterday going down the slide and got some funny looks. Obviously, it's not everyday a 6 month pregnant lady slides down a kiddie slide!! :)
Lisa, Lisa Lisa... I hope you heal quickly.
HOLY SMOKES!
Isn't it funny how the worst days tend to be the funniest ones a few days later!
I did the exact same thing on a first date onnce - the whole "foot asleep" thing - got up and fell flat on my face! Oh, yeah...also got my arm stuck in the folded chair next to me - wasn't pretty!
That's how I get through those days!! I just simply figure I will be laughing in a couple days!
Sorry about your elbow and your foot!! Hope all heals well!
