Well, we put a contract on a house today. Now we just sit and wait to see what will happen. I'm not discouraged or over excited. I know if it is meant to be, it will happen, and if it isn't meant to be, then something better will come along. It's a great house for us, in an area where we want to be (excellent schools, and a new high school opening in 2-3 years)... 4 bedrooms on one floor, more entertaining space. The kitchen is not exactly what I had in mind, but it is not terribly bad and has some redeeming qualities. We also have friends who are carpenters and who could make something gorgeous out of what these folks attempted to create in their kitchen, but didn't quite succeed. It's a beautiful home and yet it isn't in perfect condition, which leaves room for us to make improvements before we go and build our dream home (when our kids are older)... SO, we shall see. I say, nothing ventured, nothing gained!
Of course, this means that if they accept our contract, we have to put our house on the market. That is frightening to think about, however... It's in God's hands, and if this is His will, then it will all work out.
We have asked for an answer to our bid by 6pm on Tuesday. I hope we'll hear something prior to that, but if not, not a big deal, we'll just be busy cleaning out our home and moving boxes from our house to my mom's attic, to get clutter out of our home and get it ready for staging. We also need to paint our bedroom and our kitchen ceiling, and get the faucets fixed in the bathrooms (minor)... once those things are done, I am hoping to be allowed to hire Merry Maids or something similar, to come HELP US DEEP CLEAN! The cleaner the house the quicker the sale!
Sooooooo.... here we go again!
