Five Weeks

This time, five weeks from now, I'll be holding my newest little bundle. I can't believe it is happening so fast. This pregnancy has seemed to FLY by! We still have to buy furniture, fix up the nursery, move our furniture down to our old bedroom, move the playroom and office furniture up to what is our current bedroom. Not only that, but I haven't packed my bag. I still have to DO ALL OF MY CHRISTMAS SHOPPING AND WRAPPING! Yes, I want that done PRIOR to having the baby.

Today I had a non-stress test. The baby was SUPER active. S/He was trying to kick the monitors off of my belly. I got permission to go to the DC Sister Hazel concert at the end of November... and my doctor said that I should use that as a time for Matt and I just to enjoy a date before the baby comes. I set up all of the rest of my appointments prior to the baby being born. AND I got some very exciting news. While not set in stone... my doctor has given her permission for my mother to be in the OR along with Matt and myself, during the c/section. And more than that... Dr. D is going to let my MOM cut the cord! :) Mr. Perfect isn't all about that part of the birth, he likes sitting by my head and keeping my puke bucket in place! BUT, he gets the privi of announcing WHO has come out of me... Luke or Lily! SO they each get a HUGE part in the delivery of the baby. Now I'm just getting so excited. Of course, I'm scared to death about the epidural and the IV but that's normal for me. And I dread the recovery... but I'll get through it.

OH and I've been having lots of contractions! The doctor says I need to drink more water. I know she's right! SO, anyway... that's my Thursday news! Hope everyone is having a great week.

Tomorrow is Daddy's 59th birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DADDY!!!
