I'm not convinced this wasn't the right one, actually... I got a little sense of peace this morning, thinking that God is just giving us the extra time we need to get this house ready. We are probably still going to put it on the market, and just see what happens. They have NO other contracts on their house. The thing they rejected was our first right of refusal. They feel that other agents won't SHOW the house if there is a First Right. Which really irritates me, because my next door neighbors accepted a first right, and their house was shown almost daily following that contract being accepted. SO, now we just have an extra week to get our house ready and it will be held open on September 30. It's good for Matthew and I, because now I do not feel an overwhelming sense of urgency. I want it done, but I know I have 10 days to finish the projects we've begun.
We purchased the house we are in using a first right, they accepted it, we put our house on the market 2 days after our contract was accepted, and our house sold a day later. SO, when God is involved, anything can happen. I feel that He just knows we were feeling overwhelmed and he bought us some extra time. AND, in the meantime, if they get a contract, then we just don't put ours on the market. We will probably get a sign in the yard this week, and then advertise with first showing September 30 at the Open House, this should at least generate some interest before the 30th.
SO, that's the long of it. I was too tired to type it all out last night.
SO, if anyone wants to come help, it'd be very much appreciated! I know no one enjoys painting... but if you could find it in your heart to lend a little bit of time, even if it is to just PLAY with my kids, so I can get stuff done, I'd MORE than appreciate it. We have a GREAT playground in the backyard!
It's just so difficult to get things done when two little ones are constantly tagging along behind wanting this and that, and undoing what was just done. And you can forget painting with children in the house. It is what I'd refer to as disastrous!
SO, we aren't out of the game just yet... We've been given a "grace period" so to speak! :D

I'm sorry things aren't going how you hoped. Good luck with the Open House. If I was closer I'd come paint!
