It was one of THOSE weekends...

You know THOSE weekends. You are planned from second one, until the very last second of the weekend. Every moment will be consumed by SOMETHING.

Well, it all started on Friday morning. I was helping my mom out with a little something she needed. Then, my friend Amber and her son were coming over to play. We went to chick-fil-A and got some lunch. We came back to my house, where we were going to have a picnic on my deck, but the yellow jackets decided that we should share our food with them, so the party was moved to my kitchen. After our lunch, we went outside and played on the play set that Matt's parents helped him build. The kids had SO much fun. Once they left, then we went back to my parents house to put Little Man down for a nap. The Princess was in a wedding this weekend, so I left my mom with Little Man and we headed down to the rehearsal. Princess was a ball of energy the entire time. I had hoped she'd fall asleep on the way down, but no dice. We got there on time but the rehearsal was running late. Finally, it got started and my nephew showed up in time to rehearse once. Afterwards they had a delicious dinner for us. My nephew doesn't eat anything but chicken nuggets, fries, and yo baby yogurt... and cereal and maybe a few other minor things here and there... so they left to take him to get food. We left not to long after, so that the Princess could get some rest before the big day.

Saturday morning the kids were up at 7. Mr. Perfect let me sleep in for a bit, and then I got up and headed out on a mission for shoes for the Princess and a dress for myself. Target had the dress (way more colorful than I'd ever normally pick, but it FIT and at that point, that's what mattered. Payless had shoes for the Princess. THEN I was on my way to get my Princess and take her to the salon. This was her first time in a salon, and she was NOT very excited about it. I'd say she was fearing for her life. They dolled up her hair, and she cried saying she missed her daddy! Bless her heart. Then we went on down to the location of the wedding. She got to eat lunch with all the girls, and just hang out for a while. Before long my nephew showed up and off Maegan went, to play football with the boys on the front lawn. My sister finally reigned her in and did some quick fixin on the hair! Soon we all started getting dressed. Before we knew it, it was time to walk down the aisle. My sister and I stayed in the house and assisted in getting everyone into place and making sure our children were where they were supposed to be. They looked so beautiful. I hope to have pictures to add SOON! The wedding went off without a hitch and the kids did an awesome job. :)

After the wedding was pictures... WOW that took forever. The Princess was a pure HAM for the photos. Everyone was laughing and saying how precious she was and how photo ready she was. She'd plaster on a smile and tilt her little head, hands on her hips, etc. She was all sass! Then we headed over for DANCING under the tent. Little Man and the Princess cut up the floor! The videographer had a ball video taping the kids dancing. The Princess stayed on the dance floor MOST of the night. She danced with complete strangers, and stole many hearts. So many men (young men) asked to dance with her. She was SO funny with them. (Always with mommy or daddy right along side.) The reception was pure fun! My father even gave my cousin's new husband a LAP DANCE! OMG, I thought I might seriously pee my pants from laughing. I'm not sure if my Dad had been drinking, but I'm willing to bet he had a couple in him at that point. It's all on video! We will never let the man live it down! We danced and danced until finally, the princess came to us and she was wheezing. It was past sundown and the air was damp and chilly... so we knew it was time to go.

We loaded up the car, headed home, both kids completely sacked in their car seats. We packed up our car and headed up to my sister's house to spend the night. Of course both children woke up when we got there. The Princess was easy to get back to sleep, but Little Man ended up only sleeping on Mr. Perfect's chest while they laid on the sofa. Not a super comfy night for Mr. Perfect, but all in all, not terrible.

Sunday morning we woke up and my sister made us homemade waffles and scrambled eggs and sausage. Then we all got ready for our trip to Gaithersburg, MD. We were headed to the Celebrate Gaithersburg Festival. It was being headlined by SISTER HAZEL!!! I'm sure you all realize they are my favorite band. My Princess is a huge fan of Sister Hazel as well. Yesterday was my 6th show. It was the first show for my kids and my sister and my nephew. We had a BALL! We got there just before Sister Hazel took the stage! After the show, they announced they'd be over beside the stage to sign autographs and hang out. SO, we took full advantage. The Princess was getting to meet the guys that sing 2 of her all time favorite songs!

We finally got home around 10:30 last night. The kids were so asleep they never woke up from the car to the house. It was one of the best weekends ever! If only ALL weekends could be this much fun!
